Champagne at the Miss Gay America NY Pageant
Contestant, please return to the stage! In her first year entering the American Pageantry System, Champagne took to the stage to compete in the Miss Gay America preliminary pageant in Manhattan. The NY preliminary – returning to the MGA circuit after a brief hiatus – is the important step to qualify for the national Miss Gay America pageant in New Orleans.
With her combination of dazzling looks and a crowd-pleasing performance of “Le Jazz Hot,” Champagne was chosen as 1st alternate by the end of the night. This means she’ll be traveling down to New Orleans for Miss Gay America Nationals in October with her sister Kelly Ray Shelton. Go, Bubbles, go!

There’s another contender for leader of the free world: Champagne Bubbles. As one of the challenges in the 2016 Ms. Barracuda pageant, Candidate Bubbles hit the pavement to drum up support for the “Champagne Campaign.”

Watch out – because she’s snatching up delegates… and wigs!
At the 17th annual Glam Awards in NYC, Champagne Bubbles debuted a truly one-of-a-kind look. The black and white high-to-low tear away with a mini-dress underneath was already beautiful, but up close it was stunning – it was created entirely out of duct tape! Joining her at NYC’s premier nightlife award show were her drag daughter Summer Holmes, dress creator Hayley Pires (Glitt3r_Bitch), and stylist Kristen Taylor.
The event, created by Cherry Jubilee and hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio, was truly a night to see and be seen… and Miss Bubbles did not disappoint!

During Halloween week for So You Think You Can Drag?; Boxxa Vine (Aaron Johnson) pulled out ALL the stops! She started her number as Winnie Sanderson surprising the patrons with guest queens Champagne Bubbles (as Sarah Sanderson) & Jaclyn Honey Daniels (as Mary Sanderson) to help re-create the classic number we all know and love: “I Put a Spell on You”. This performance had the audience captivated, with everyone chanting and singing along as the Sanderson sisters cast their spell – putting Boxxa Vine in the winning spot for the week!
And to no surprise, Boxxa Vine took home the win for the Runway Challenge as that queen can SEW!

In her third pageant of the summer, Champagne Bubbles appeared at the Ice Palace in Cherry Grove to compete for the title of Miss Fire Island. Strutting her stuff on a floating runway, she showed off a floral Daywear look and a jeweled encrusted Evening Gown look. A favorite with the judges and crowd, a whole new group of fans now looks forward to an appearance by Miss Bubbles.
No stranger to the pageant world, Champagne headed out to Fire Island for the Miss Cherry’s pageant in August. As usual, she was a showstopper. Dressed like an ice cream cone for “Creative Daywear”, Champagne dazzled the audience with homage to a vintage ice cream parlor gal. Her talent was ‘CRAZY’ by Britney Spears (with reveal, of course) earning shouts, cheers and snaps of approval from the crowd and judges alike. Champagne had a well-deserved crowning of ‘Audience Favorite’!
